Pavan Kapoor: India is actively promoting textile products to Russia

Ambassador of India to the Russian Federation Pavan Kapoor took part in the opening ceremony of the National Pavilion of India at INTERFABRIC exhibition. The Pavilion was organized under the patronage of the Synthetic & Rayon Textiles Export Promotion Council. From September 5 to 7 professionals in the Russian apparel industry had an opportunity to get acquainted with a large number of manufacturers representing a variety of areas of the Indian apparel industry - from yarn and fibers to linens.

The opening of the National Pavilion at the international exhibition INTERFABRIC became possible thanks to the assistance and active support of the Synthetic and Artificial Fabric Export Promotion Council of India (SRTEPC). At the opening Ambassador Pavan Kapoor emphasized that his country provides support to exporters at the highest government level and also comprehensively promotes artificial fibers and textiles abroad including to Russia.

The leading manufacturers of India’s textile market were represented at the collective stand in Pavilion 3 of the Expocentre Fairgrounds. These are the largest manufacturers of worsted suiting fabrics in the world and factories that specialize in the production of denim and denim clothing using OE, Ring, Ring Slub, polyester and poly-spun yarns.

Among Indian companies there were also a number of manufacturers of composite textiles, various types of polyester fabrics, as well as synthetic suits, uniforms and workwear, which occupy a strong position in the global textile sector.
