INTERFABRIC has opened in Moscow

intertkan2023.jpgOn March 14 the 13th International Exhibition of Fabrics and Textile Materials INTERFABRIC-2023.Spring as part of Russian Textile Week opened at Expocentre Central Exhibition Complex.

This season, the exhibition once again surpassed its own record in the number of exhibitors and visitors: the exposition was made up of more than 370 companies that presented over 700 brands on an area of 17,000 square meters, apparel industry enterprises from 40 regions of Russia, as well as from: China, Turkey, India, Vietnam demonstrated their products. National expositions at collective stands were presented by Belarus and Uzbekistan.

Andrey Razbrodin, President of the Russian Union of Textile and Apparel Industry Entrepreneurs, noted that the exhibition exceeded pre-pandemic time: “Despite the sanctions, changes in logistics and other seemingly constraining factors the industry is asserting itself more and more confidently, as evidenced by every season, ever-expanding exposition of the exhibition. And this, in turn, suggests that the time has finally come to apply not supporting measures to domestic apparel industry, as it has been so far, but development measures - this is exactly what the industry needs today.”


0184_BAB5500.jpgThe exhibition opened with a plenary session Market needs - motivation for development of the industry", which was attended by Vice-President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Dmitry Kurochkin; Aleksey Nechaev, chairman of the New People political party, head of the New People faction in the State Duma; Director of Department of Apparel and Timber Industry of Ministry of Industry and Trade Vera Khmyrova; Vice-President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Alexander Murychev; Deputy Head of United Russia faction in the State Duma Sergey Morozov, Chairman of Crimean Razvitiye Clothing and Designers Association, Chairman of Apparel Industry Committee at the Crimea Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Advisor to Chairman of the "Uztekstilprom" Association Dilbara Mukhamedov; Andrey Razbrodin, President of the Russian Union of Textile and Apprel Industry; First Deputy General Director of  "Expocentre" Sergey Selivanov.

On the first day of the exhibition, an awards ceremony was held for the winners of the INTERFABRIC-2023 professional competition, the TEXTILE DESIGN AWARDS competition and the BEHIND THE GLASS: LEATHER and FUR competition of the Russian Kosygin State University and the SOYUZLEGPROM Committee for Fur and Leather. Lertex became the leader in the Structure and Surface nomination, StenCom in the Sustainable Development nomination, D&S Fashion in Finishing and Decoration nomination, and Intai Textile in Design nomination.

Exhibition visitors took part in discussion “Russian Apparel industry for the HoReCa”, where they discussed the needs of HoReCa segment in Russian textiles, learned what the Shuisky Sitzy brand offers in the b2b segment, considered the pros and cons of refractory fabrics for hotels and restaurants.

The new Space of Interior Trends hosted a workshop “Personal guide to success: how a textile designer can raise a check from 30,000 to 100,000 rubles”. The participants of the event figured out what prevents them from leaving their comfort zone and allowing themselves to earn more, examined the process of raising a check step by step, and also learned how to promote their brand and what to focus on in order to attract customers.

Tomorrow, March 14, visitors to the exhibition will also have a large number of interesting and meaningful events dedicated to the most diverse topics.
At 10:30 a.m., the production conference "Modernization of apparel industry: economics and technology" will be held, moderated by Alexei Silakov, Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation of the Russian Kosygin State University. Participants will discuss such issues as introduction of new technologies - the key to import substitution and advanced development; information logistics in modern conditions: equipment, spare parts and consumables for the production of apparel industry goods.
 
At 12:00-14:45, a workshop "Investment of high-tech projects in the apparel industry" will be held, dedicated to projects for organizing the profitability of a sewing workshop and modern solutions, measures to support high-tech projects, digital printing on textiles as a business, digital automation.
 
At 14:30–15:30 there will be a business workshop “All about marketplaces – from wholesale to retail”, moderator Marina Shkrebneva, journalist.
