RUSSIAN TEXTILE WEEK - 2021 TO TAKE PLACE ON MARCH 1 - 3 AT EXPOCENTRE FAIRGROUNDS

From March 1 to March 3, 2021, Moscow (Expocentre Fairgrounds) will host the most important annual congress and exhibition event -   Russian Textile Week, organized by  Expocentre JSC and the  Russian Union of Entrepreneurs of Textile and Apparel Industry (SOUZLEGPROM) with the support of Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation.

According to experts, the  Russian Textile Week, held by the industry community for the 8th consecutive year, is the leading business and exhibition venue for domestic light industry, as well as a meeting place for professionals, an exchange of views between government and business representatives on industry development issues, and a center for development of measures to ensure sustainable production and technological growth of domestic light industry.

In the program of Russian Textile Week – 2021 there are: authoritative international specialized exhibitions INTERFABRIC-2021. Spring (fabrics and textile materials, accessories) and  INLEGMASH (equipment for the light industry).

All events of the Russian Textile Week - 2020 have an exclusively practical format and are devoted to the most pressing issues of the textile and light industry. They will take place simultaneously at the exposition sites of Expocentre with the participation of representatives of the leading Russian and foreign textile and light industry companies, politicians, public figures and journalists (about 1000 exhibitors, 18000 visitors).

This year the Forum will involve 7 conference venues for 2,000 forum participants from 12 countries, which will feature more than 150 world-class speakers and market professionals.

An important part of the business program of the Russian Textile Week -2020 will be the VII International Forum of Light Industry Legpromforum-2020: DOMESTIC LIGHT INDUSTRY: MODERN ECONOMIC CHALLENGES AND FACTORS OF COMPETITIVENESS”, within the framework of which at the highest state level actual problems will be discussed, challenges and prospects of the industry as a whole and its most dynamically developing segments. Within the framework of the Forum, a series of conferences, round tables, workshops, and consultations will be held with the participation of representatives of the Presidential Administration, Federation Council, State Duma, Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, Federal Customs Service, EEC, heads of executive authorities of the regions, leading enterprises of the industry, industry-specific scientific, educational and public organizations,  media.

Traditionally, the Forum opens with a plenary meeting at which representatives of government and business will analyze the situation in the industry and outline the vector of its development for the current year. Representatives of government and public structures, development institutions and major industry players have already confirmed their participation in the event.

In addition, for the participants of the Week a lot of interesting and practical events will be held. In particular, at the venues of the Forum within all four days marketing issues will be discussed in detail in modern conditions, when the use of new digital technologies is vital. Within the framework of the Year of Folk Art, the Youth Forum FASHION IN CULTURAL SPACE, dedicated to the development of fashion in various regions of Russia and other countries from the origins of folk art to the present, is included in the program of Russian Textile Week - 2020. The event is part of the UNESCO International Children's Congress.

Serious attention at the Forum will be given to digitalization of the industry, from digital printing to global restructuring of the industry, including the creation of digital factories and the introduction of technology for the technological structure of the future. The INLEGMASH INTERNATIONAL INDUSTRIAL CONFERENCE ‘EQUIPMENT AND TECHNOLOGIES OF TEXTILE AND EASY INDUSTRY: DIGITALIZATION TRENDS’ will be devoted to these issues.

The participants will comprehensively address issues of digitalization of fashion retail at  FASHION TECH DAY - 2020, which will be held for the first time this year as part of the Russian Textile Week.

A rich business and practical program for the design community is planned at the Forum: both for specialists in the creation of clothes, and for the development of textile prints and home textiles.

There will be several seminars on the review and analysis of fashion trends, as well as workshops with the participation of world famous design specialist, founder of the international magazine TextileView David Shah (Great Britain) and founder of the Solstudio Group Alexandra Kaloshina, who took an active part in the preparation of Trend- Forum and Trend Zone of the Russian Textile Week -2020” and the spring Interfabric exhibition.

 

A serious analysis of the need to transform the fashion industry in the context of a change in the technological structure will be made at the conference FROM POST-SOVIET FACTORY TO MODERN FASHIONABLE PRODUCTION, at the consultation session: DIVERSIFICATION OF BUSINESS IN THE AGE OF CRISIS: WHAT A DESIGNER CAN SELL? At the public talk: SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT AND FASHION TRENDS. CONTRADICTION OR COMBINATION and on the panel discussion HOW TO CREATE SILICON VALLEY OF MODERN FASHION - INDUSTRY?”.

And the issues of production and wholesale will be discussed in a public talk PRODUCTION AND WHOLESALE OF PRODUCTS OF RUSSIAN DESIGNERS: PROBLEMS AND PROSPECTS FOR EXPANDING OF BUSINESS.”

A special working group invites everyone interested to discuss raw materials for the textile industry - this topic, in general opinion, deserves close attention of the industry community, since it is very difficult to implement import substitution and export of Russian light industry products to international markets without domestic raw materials.
