The
Vologda Textile Integrated Plant presented its products at the
2nd International INTERFABRIC Exhibition, the official website of the Vologda city administration reports. The event was held within the framework of the
Russian Textile Week, organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Russian Union of Entrepreneurs of Textile and Light Industry.
As noted in the administration of the region, the fabrics of the plant were highly appreciated by the participants of the exhibition.
Vologda Linen Plant named after the 50th anniversary of the Komsomol was founded in 1936. In the 1980s, it produced up to
25 million linear meters of fabric per year, and occupied one of the leading places in the light industry of the USSR. In 2011 – 2013 a comprehensive modernization was carried out at the plant and the most modern weaving and finishing equipment of the world’s leading manufacturers was installed. It allows you to make fabrics and finished products of the highest quality. Two years ago a strategic decision to start the combine’s work with cotton, mixed and synthetic fabrics was made.
The
INTERFABRIC exhibition is an effective business platform for the promotion of fabrics produced by textile enterprises. Among the participants of the event are the key Russian manufacturers of clothing, home textiles, knitwear, as well as representatives of wholesale companies.
