THE WINNERS OF MASKAART COMPETITION WILL GET ADDITIONAL SCORES TO ENTER TO RSU NAMED AFTER KOSYGIN

The winners of online masks design competition Maskaart will get prizes and extra scores to enroll to Baccalaureate or Magistracy of RGU named after A.N.Kosygin.

As the Ministry of Industry and trade informs, an outbreak of coronavirus not only made all the designers correct their professional decisions, but also fundamentally influenced the whole fashion-industry, making the fashion of the future, reminding of ecology and implementation of new technologies, which will make our life easier. Despite that the self-isolation period is about to end in many regions, wearing masks and gloves is staying mandatory.

‘Why security cannot be good-looking’? –organizers of MaskaART ask, the first online design competition of masks in Russia. The final result of the competition online defile with participation of robots will become.

Among the prizes of the competition there are free photo sessions for the collections of young designers, gifts from the partners of the competition, and participation in Moscow Fashion Week will become the main prize.

Young designers, school pupils, students of secondary educational institutions, high educational institutions as well as graduates are welcome to take part in the competition. Applications to be submitted by July 10.

Contestants can present their works of 4 nominations: ‘Online character’, ‘Mask as the element of character’, ‘Piece of art’ and ‘Masks for social media’. Participants have the right to represent themselves in different nominations simultaneously, and the number of competing works of 1 author is not limited.

Famous Russian designers, art historians, heads of the leading fashion publications and light industry enterprises, as well as members of industry unions and organizations will be evaluating the works. Chairman of the jury – famous Russian couturier, people’s artist of the Russian Federation and Honored Art Worker of the Russian Federation Valentin Yudashkin.

During the competition for participants there will be held workshops of well-known speakers, meeting with international guests – designers from China and Japan. Works of the best participants will be shown in the framework of the final online show.

Founder of the competition is Russian State University named after A.N. Kosygin with support of the Ministry of science and higher education of the Russian Federation.
