THE GRAND OPENING OF INTERFABRIC: A CEREMONY TO REMEMBER

17.03.2026 г.

The 19th International Industry-Wide Fair of Textile and Apparel Industry has officially opened.

The opening ceremony was hosted by Maria Sittel, Honoured Journalist of the Russian Federation, commentator, and advisor to the Director General of Russia TV Channel.

Once again, Sberbank, Russia’s largest financial institution, is the strategic partner of the event.

“Interfabric is an effective tool for aligning the interests of government and business, influencing market regulation. It is here, on the main federal platform, that standards are set, systemic barriers are identified, and support mechanisms that directly shape the market are formed”, said Maria Sittel.

She read out a message from Vladimir Gutenev, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Industry and Trade: “Interfabric has traditionally become a platform for professional dialogue, sharing best practices, showcasing innovations and new projects, and developing joint initiatives”.

The ceremony was packed — everyone was waiting for the official start.

“Interfabric is rightly considered one of the key industry platforms where manufacturers, designers, technology suppliers, experts, and government representatives gather in one space”.

Dmitry Kuskov, Director of the Department of Light Industry and Forestry Industry at the Ministry of Industry and Trade, noted that Interfabric has become a place for productive dialogue between government and business, where new ideas and initiatives emerge.

Roman Nekrasov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Russia, expressed hope that the exhibition would help renew or create new business contacts — a good driver for light industry and agriculture.

Alexander Murychev, Vice President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, greeted attendees and, on behalf of Alexander Shokhin, the Union President, wished them successful work.

A message from Sergey Katyrin, President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, was also read: “I am confident that the exhibition will become a source of inspiration and a stimulus for creating high‑quality products.”

Mikhail Bocharov, CEO of BTK Group, read a greeting from Taymuraz Bolloev, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of BTK Group:

“We believe that Russia’s textile industry is moving towards sustainable sovereignty through local production, advanced technology, and human capital. The path is neither easy nor quick — but we must walk it for the future of our industry and our country”.

Andrey Razbrodin, President of SOYUZLEGPROM, took the floor at the end:

“I thank everyone with whom we have reached this point — where the industry’s development strategy and its future have become a serious, national matter”.

The ribbon‑cutting also included Pavel Podgainov, Advisor to the Secretariat of Alexey Gordeev, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma.

The exhibition is still on — come and be part of the event! Don’t miss the highlights!
