– Our company has been cooperating with China for over ten years. We deal in goods, look for interesting products tailored to the client, and provide full turnkey transactions. Over the past five years, we have focused more deeply on fabrics, specializing in silk as well as silk blended with cotton, bamboo, hemp, and wool.
– What is special about your company’s operations?
– First and foremost, our company offers clients unique conditions: we provide dyeing starting from a single roll or printing starting from just one roll – from fifty meters. This is truly a unique condition, as minimums usually range from 200 to 500 kilograms. Moreover, we collaborate with young designers and fashion houses who can realize their creative potential through us.
– What is the core of your assortment?
– We import a wide variety of fabrics, but the foundation of our products is silk thread, from which different types of fabric are made: satin, crepe de chine, chiffon.
Today, the new word in silk is habotai (100% silk, density 34, width 140). We offer our buyers various finishing options – digital printing, dyeing, washed silk, natural color with finishing for sewing garments, and natural color with finishing for printing. It is a Japanese fabric made with Japanese tight-weave technology, used for traditional Japanese garments such as kimonos and yukatas. As Asia is currently in fashion, habotai, as a 100% natural silk, is in incredibly high demand.
As we know, silk comes in various types. In our understanding, it is primarily satin silk – often referred to as “Armani silk,” although the correct term is satin. There is also silk organza, mostly used for sewing curtains. There can also be silk velvet, and silk is even used to produce wool-like scarves if brushed correctly. Silk truly has endless possibilities. It is a high-class fabric, and thanks to our company, it is becoming much more accessible to the middle class. In fact, our goal is to bring silk to the masses.
– What new products have you brought to the exhibition?
– For this exhibition, we brought new wool fabrics and new blends – silk with hemp, silk with linen.
Silk with linen – 22% silk and 78% linen – is very popular for summer suits. Linen wrinkles easily, but thanks to silk, it quickly regains its original shape. Silk with hemp – 35% silk and 65% hemp – is usually used for home textiles such as bedspreads, throws, and upholstery, especially suitable for luxury furniture, as well as restaurant table linens, since it is water-repellent and washes very well.
Today we are reviving the popularity of crepe de chine – a fabric loved by our mothers and grandmothers. Crepe de chine can be not only synthetic but also made from natural silk. Our company also offers blends of silk with cotton, viscose, and the same linen – they are more practical, easy to care for and wear, and, of course, more affordable. This category also includes a wide range of colors, prints, and fabric types.
Crepe georgette is a thin, crinkled fabric, very pleasant and light. Crepe georgette is usually used to sew shawls, scarves, lightweight skirts, and dresses. Twill – usually purchased for sewing men’s suits, jackets, and linings. Thanks to the twill weave, it has a ribbed pattern that gives garments a noble and elegant appearance. It looks great on men's jackets, shirts, and linings.
For home textiles, we offer silk with spandex, as this fabric stretches very well, and the ten percent spandex does not affect the qualities of silk. Silk with spandex offers the same sense of comfort as natural silk – a feeling of coziness, warmth, and coolness.
We also offer another, one could say, exotic option – silk with wool. These blends include rabbit, camel, and sheep wool. The composition is usually 10% silk, 80% wool, and 10% polyester. The fabric is very convenient, soft, pleasant to the touch, and water-resistant. Mostly, these fabrics are used to sew coats. Recently, they have been purchased to sew thin wool suits, with a composition of 45% silk and 55% wool. These fabrics are lightweight, warm, and breathable thanks to the silk.
– Who are your main customers?
– We mainly work across Russia, but recently we have started working with marketplaces and began importing silk sleep masks and silk hair ties – another growing trend. Hair doesn’t break or split, remains smooth and well-groomed. Sleep masks help relax and ensure a very serene sleep. At the next exhibition, we plan to showcase silk sleep turbans, which we believe will be especially in demand among women with long hair – they prevent static and make hair easy to comb.
– Why did you decide to participate in the «INTERFABRIC» exhibition?
– We’ve been taking part in «INTERFABRIC» exhibitions for several years now. Undoubtedly, the exhibition provides a great opportunity to make yourself known. It’s always a pleasure to see our regular clients and establish new partnerships with clothing manufacturers. We really enjoyed the exhibition and plan to continue participating in the future.
