Relations with India have reached a new level: recently, at the "Best of India – Indian Apparel and Textiles" exhibition in Moscow, SoyuzLegProm CEO
Andrey Razbrodin met with India's Minister of State for Textiles and International Relations,
Mr. Pabitra Margherita. The Indian Ambassador to Russia, Mr. Vinay Kumar, was also present.
During the bilateral talks, the participants discussed opportunities for Indian companies to enter the Russian market, as well as expanding SoyuzLegProm's cooperation across all areas of the textile industry—from fabrics to finished goods, apparel, home textiles, and technical textiles.
Particular attention was paid to the development of
technical textile production. Participants noted that Russia and India have significant potential for cooperation in this area. Their Indian counterparts expressed interest in Russian research and development and in the supply of raw materials for technical textiles from Russia.
As a reminder, Indian companies have been participating in INTERFABRIC, the largest textile exhibition in the Russian Federation and the CIS, for several years now. Last fall, more than 10 Indian companies participated.
The new INTERFABRIC exhibition, which will be held from March 17 to 19, 2026, is expected to feature even more exhibitors from India, marking an important step in strengthening bilateral ties and developing cooperation between Russia and India in the textile industry.
