In the capital of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic, the first production line of the high-tech «Karitex» blended yarn manufacturing facility has been launched. This year, a "roadmap" for the deep processing of sheep wool has been implemented in Russia.
Knit textile production is one of the leading industries in the Karachay-Cherkess Republic, which has been recognized as a pilot region and leader in wool production nationwide.
One of the region's key achievements this year is the launch of «Karitex Worsted Spinning Mill LLC»’s project to establish a wool processing enterprise. Once fully operational, the plant’s production capacity will reach 15,000 tons of processed wool per year, creating approximately 628 new jobs.
This year, the company has already completed the first phase of the project—launching a production line with an annual output of 800 tons of acrylic yarn, which has created 110 new jobs. The facility is expected to reach full capacity by the end of 2025.
