13.09.2024 г.
The modern world develops rapidly, however tradition keeping is still an important aspect of the cultural legacy. Russian textile and consumer goods industry week that embodies the «INTERFABRIC-2024. Autumn» and «TEXTILE&HOME-2024. Autumn» presented  the  «Original Russian traditions and cutting-edge production. Creative expedition» workshop, that allowed us to take a fresh look at the past in the contest of modern tendencies.

Creative Director of «TEXTILE&HOME» expo Kirill Loptinskiy, «Shuiskie Sitcy» Development Director Ekaterina Matrosova and «Avangard» manufactory Commercial Director Tatiana Makovets spoke at the event.

The attendants learned about the «Forest Tsar» Trend-zone conception initiation, the long way of creating a concept project, starting from idea to the practical application. The event also revealed how «Shuiskie Sitcy» and «Avangard» factories work on keeping legacy and traditions adaptation and how creative expeditions from Moscow to Ivanovskiy and Vladimirskiy region factories went.

The speakers touched on important issues of traditions keeping that with the proper approach have a potential to become a new trend.  The Head of «VM FACTORY by KIRILL LOPATINSKIY» and «L’ROSE» flowers gallery Kirill Lopatinskiy shared his experience on how impressive productive abilities of the factories filled with rich history can be.

“How was the “Forest Tsar” conception born? It is a result of the crossed inspiration. Our homeland is full of beauty. As soon as you start a production expedition, a huge value of information rises around you. A need for visiting museums and getting to know things better appears. My trip to Ivanovskaya and Vladimirskaya regions led me to Kholuy village. In the 20th century it became famous for its miniature lacquer paintings style. Domestic masters’ works won international acclaim and were exhibited in Paris, New York and London” - Kirill claimed. He also noted that exactly these works were the foundation of his idea to create a concept project.

The folk craft became the core motive of the Trend zone design. Glassware and  pieces of furniture from Belarus were presented along with textile. A cooperation of this kind gained attention of the visitors and became a useful experience specifically for “Shuiskie Sitcy” and “Avangard” manufactories. A time ago they were competitors and now cooperate in collaboration with Kirill Lopatinskiy.  The integral style bedding from “Shuiskie Sicty” and bathing terry-loop goods from “Avangard”, a capsule collection inspired by the fork craft, became the first outcome of this work. It is quite possible that several home and interior design companies will join this union in the near future.
