The 19th international industry-wide textile and apparel exhibition, «Interfabric – 2026. Spring», has begun its work.
The host of the opening ceremony was Maria Sittel, Honored Journalist of the Russian Federation, commentator, and advisor to the General Director of the «Russia» TV channel.
«The international industry exhibition 'Interfabric' is an effective tool for synchronizing the interests of the state and business, influencing market regulation. It is here, at this main federal platform, in a live dialogue, that standards are born, systemic barriers are identified, and support mechanisms are formed that directly determine market conditions», Maria Sittel noted.
The host read out an address from Vladimir Gutenev, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Industry and Trade. «The «Interfabric» exhibition traditionally becomes a platform for professional dialogue, the exchange of best practices, the demonstration of innovations and new projects, as well as for developing joint initiatives», the address read.

Nadezhda Ilyina, Senator from the Kemerovo region, welcomed all exhibition participants, wishing them fruitful work and new contacts. An address was delivered from Inna Svyatenko, Deputy Chair of the Federation Council Committee on Constitutional Legislation and State Building.
According to her, «Interfabric» is rightfully considered one of the key industry platforms, bringing together manufacturers, designers, technology suppliers, experts, and government representatives in one space.
Dmitry Kuskov, Director of the Department of Light Industry and Timber Industry Complex of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, noted in his speech that "Interfabric" has become a place for productive meetings and dialogue between the state and business, during which new ideas and initiatives are developed.
Roman Nekrasov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Russia, expressed hope that the exhibition would allow for the renewal or creation of new business contacts, which would serve as a good driver for the development of the light industry and the agricultural sector.
Alexander Murychev, Vice President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, greeted those present and, on behalf of Alexander Shokhin, President of the RSPP, wished the exhibition participants successful work.
The opening ceremony also featured an address from Sergey Katyrin, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation. He expressed confidence that the exhibition would serve as a source of inspiration and act as a stimulus for creating quality products.
Dmitry Kurochkin, Vice President of the CCI of the Russian Federation, mentioned an important event for the industry – parliamentary hearings – noting that they had dramatically changed the attitude of government bodies toward the industry's development strategy.
Mikhail Bocharov, General Director of the BTK Group of Companies, read a greeting from Taymuraz Bolloev, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the BTK Group of Companies.
«We are confident that the textile industry in Russia is moving toward sustainable sovereignty through the development of local production, the introduction of advanced technologies, and the development of human resources. The path is neither simple nor quick, but we must take it for the sake of the future of the industry and the country», the greeting stated.
In the final part of the opening ceremony, Andrey Razbroodin, President of SOYUZLEGPROM, took the floor.
«I thank everyone with whom we have reached this moment, where the industry's development strategy and its future have become a serious, national matter», he said.
Pavel Podgaynov, Advisor to the Secretariat of the Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Alexey Gordeev, also took part in the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
