FINAL RELEASE of the 5th International Exhibition of Fabrics and Textile Materials “Interfabric-2018. Autumn”

    August 27 – 30 in Moscow on the territory of the Expocentre Fairgrounds in pav. 3 the V International Exhibition of Fabrics and Textile Materials “INTERFABRIC-2018. Autumn” was held. The exhibition was organized by the Russian Union of Entrepreneurs of Textile and Light Industry with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation and the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.   In the opening ceremony of the Interfabric Exhibition took part: Yevgeny Ryzhov, Director of the Department of the Textile Industry of the Ministry of Industry and Trade; Elena Dybova, Vice President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Victor Cherepov, Executive Vice-President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs; Alexandra Kaloshina, the founder of the SOLSTUDIO textile companies group; Honored Artist of Russia, fashion designer Irina Krutikova; the President of the Russian Union of Entrepreneurs of Textile and Light Industry, the Chairman of the Committee of the RF CCI on Entrepreneurship in the textile and light industry Andrey Razbrodin. According to Andrey Razbrodin: “Traditionally, INTERFABRIC autumn exhibitions are not only a place of demonstration of goods and services, but also a business platform for placing orders for the upcoming autumn-winter period, as well as a look in future seasons of 2019-2020 reflecting new trends expected in the market of designs and prints of fabrics, which will set trends in consumer demand for several years ahead.” In the exposition of the exhibition on an area of more than 5400 sq.m. more than 200 brands of manufacturers and suppliers of fabrics took part. In addition to the regular participants of the leading domestic brands of such companies as MIRtex, Petromix, TDL-Textile, Galatex, Thermopol, Sverdlovsky Kamvolniy Kombinat, PNK imeni Kirova, TD Gamma, KAROSPORT, Pavlovo-Posadsky Kamvolshchik, Eurotex, RUTKANI, Meh Oreteks. Famous brands from foreign countries took part in the exhibition: YARN & FABRIC (India), Bella Tela (United Kingdom), Sahsa Tekstil Konf. San Tic (Turkey), FADA TESSUTI (Italy), Bennett Silks (UK), Bacus (France), LOXY (Norway), Shanghai Paradise Bird Textile (China), DOKUMA KUMAŞ TEKSTİL (Turkey), CIMMINO (Italy), Jozwiak (Poland). The number of visitors to the exhibition has grown, and over 8,000 thousand specialists visited the exposition for 4 days of work. The participants of the exhibition noted the high level of the quality of visitors: 33% of the company managers / founders, 15% of the company direction, procurement specialists / managers – 29%, designers – 10%, individual entrepreneurs: 7%. At the same time, the exhibition attracts more attention from representatives of foreign countries. This year the exhibition was visited by specialists from such countries as Great Britain, France, Germany, China, Italy, India, countries of near and far abroad. Traditionally, within the framework of the exhibition, the organizers offered a rich 4-day business program, which includes more than 30 events that take place simultaneously on four business sites. Within the framework of the Plenary session, organized by the Russian Union of Entrepreneurs of Textile and Light Industry, the most important issues on measures of state support and stimulation of the domestic textile and light industry market were discussed. In his speech at the opening ceremony, the President of the Russian Union of Entrepreneurs of Textile and Light Industry Andrey Razbrodin stressed the need for consolidation of efforts, noting that measures of state support of the industry, implemented by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, “are the basis of such consolidation.” Evgeny Ryzhov, the director of the profile department of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, recalled the “parallel orientation of industry on the part of the government on import substitution and development of exports.” And the last vector will be given “more and more attention” in the framework of direct and indirect state support measures. According to Yevgeny Ryzhov, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia supports the proposals of the Russian Union of Entrepreneurs of Textile and Light Industry to expand measures of direct and indirect state support of the industry “to consolidate the positive dynamics of the past few years in most of its sub-sectors.” Vice-president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation Elena Dybova presented the  National project ‘Small and medium-sized business and support of an individual entrepreneurial initiative’. The implementation of this priority project provides for various measures to support individual and small entrepreneurs, as well as the allocation of 455 billion rubles in budget funds. The constant work of Textile Trend Forum, represented at the INTERFABRIC exhibition by Solstudio Textile Design, has been enjoying the interest of visitors and industry specialists and participants of INTERFABRIC for a year now. This time the Forum materials were devoted to the autumn-winter season 2019/2020. The composition of the fabric and texture, color, decoration and surface treatment, style and technique of drawing for fabric, the Textile Trend Forum made it possible to get acquainted with the current trends in the design of materials for two seasons ahead. For the first time in the history of the exhibition, the conversation about the trends and the influence of design on sales and development of companies was held not only in the trend zone, but also on business sites. The second day of the exhibition, August 28, was “Day of Design“. Design, as a sales tool, how to create a unique trade proposal by means of design, trends in textile design are a small part of the topics that were sounded during the day’s events. Once again, the professional jury determined the winners of the Professional Contest of the INTERFABRIC-2018.Autumn Prize: the winner in the category ‘Structures and Surfaces’ became BeeSun company (South Korea), the prize for ‘Sustainable Development’ was received by TDL Tekstil (Russia), ‘Finishing and Decorating’ nomination was won by the Tkani Runa company (Russia) and finally in the nomination “Drawing” the prize was awarded to the company DUTEL (France). In the awards ceremony commemorative diplomas from the organizers of the exhibition were received by: in the nomination ‘The most popular (visited) stand’ – Eurotex,For Constancy’ – Apparel Textile Agency, ‘The Most Innovative Stand’ – THERMOPOL (TM Hollowfiber), ‘Bright Debut’ – SPECTRE EXIM PRIVET LIMITED, ’Best stand design’- MIRtex, ‘The best presentation of products’TDL Textiles, ‘The ost conceptual stand’- Solstudio Textile Design. On August 29, a round table “DIGITALIZATION OF THE DOMESTIC FASHION-INDUSTRY” was held. The event was organized by the international digital fashion project 1 LAB with the support of the Committee on Digital Technologies of the Russian Union of Entrepreneurs of Textile and Light Industry. Within the framework of the roundtable, such topics as ‘Big Data and Artificial Intelligence in the Fashion Industry’, ‘Use of a block chain to ensure authenticity – triple-entry’, ‘Digitalization of supply chains, loyalty programs’ were discussed. For the first time within the framework of the INTERFABRIC exhibition the session ‘Technological features and fabric design possibilities. Prospects of the domestic printing market on fabrics’ was held, the moderator of the session was Alexandra Kaloshina (Solstudio Textile Design). The session was attended by leading manufacturers and suppliers of printing equipment for fabrics, as well as owners of their own productions. EPSON EUROPE B.V. Moscow presented a report on modern sublimation printing solutions of its own design. The head of the Russian division of Konica Minolta, Nikolai Dmitriev, spoke about the company’s development of digital printing on all types of fabrics – from natural to synthetic fabrics and requirements for post-processing fabrics. The general tendency of the session was that the subject of printing on natural fabrics, so topical for the Russian market, was traced. In the context of highlighting the features of building production lines for printing fabrics in the conditions of the domestic market, the reports of the remaining participants of the session were built: ‘T & T’Textiles and Technology, the company producer TM Zolotoy Gus, SMART-T, independent expert Mikhail Shpilkin (Shpilkin.ru), the company ‘5Partner’. And also within the framework of the exhibition the company ‘Russcom Graphics’ demonstrated the sublimation printer Mimaki TS30-1300, as one of the available solutions for printing on textiles. An interesting and unique exhibition was presented by the company GK EUROPA. At the stand of the company you could see a wooden hand loom in action, as well as a valuable collection of antique laces, embroideries, samples of old accessories and clothes, the possession of which can do honor to any museum on a world level. Within the framework of the Business program of the exhibition, a round table on home textile was held. The main topic of the conference became questions of demand for domestic products, quality of products and availability of counterfeit products on the market. As one of the measures to control the quality of products, the topic of product labeling was discussed, which would allow a сonscientious manufacturer not to compete with counterfeit products at dumping prices.  0 The president of the Russian Union of Entrepreneurs of Textile and Light Industry Andrey Razbrodin noted that the labeling of products, itself, also requires infrastructure to ensure its operation, in the form of laboratories that certify products and the solution for the creation and operation of this infrastructure the union has. The general director of the company ‘Shuiskiye Sitsy’ Anna Bogadelina, the head of the company ‘Dargez’ Boris Yudin and other participants of the round table expressed their support for the initiatives of the union. Practical session ‘Influence of innovative fabrics and high-tech materials on consumer preferences in casual wear’ was devoted to the problems of the industry by the dependence on imported equipment and technologies. The moderator of the session was Nadezhda Kornilova, general director of LLC ‘Engineering Center for Textile and Light Industry’. Vladislav Ivanov, the development director of the company Thermopol and other experts-participants of the session called for closer cooperation of producers of innovative fabrics, raw materials for their production and R & D – in order to increase the competitiveness of the said Russian products at prices, quality and assortment. Participants, organizers and visitors of the exhibition received greetings from: – Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Alexander Morozov, in which it was emphasized that: ‘the Russian textile and light industry is on the threshold of a new stage of development” and ‘wide participation in the exhibition of not only domestic but also foreign manufacturers of products’ was noted, – Alexander Shokhin, President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, who separately noted the positive dynamics of the industry development, as well as the positive impact of the exhibition as part of the effective promotion of goods on the relations between producers and consumers, – Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation Maxim Fateev, who expressed confidence that the exhibition will serve as an incentive for domestic producers to produce competitive products, – President of the Russian Union of Entrepreneurs of Textile and Light Industry Andrey Razbrodin, the greeting draws attention to measures of state support to the industry and issues of ensuring stable production growth of the domestic textile and light industry, and also received greetings from People’s Artist of Russia, President of the National Academy of Fashion Industry Vyacheslav Zaitsev; Honored Artist of Russia, State Prize winner of the Russian Federation, Academician of the Russian Academy of Arts Irina Krutikova, founder of Solstudio Textile Group Alexandra Kaloshina and many other officials of representatives of business and government. Increasing the level of high-quality carrying out and development of the project of the INTERFABRIC exhibition, the organizers implemented a number of innovations, including: – a series of thematic master classes for participants and visitors of the exhibition (“Rose without tools” from the artist and fashion designer of Vyacheslav Zaitsev Fashion House, “Painting on silk in batik technique” by Diana Chentukova, etc.) – a thematic photo-zone with a unique author’s performance, where anyone could capture himself immersing in a peculiar atmosphere of textiles and sewing accessories. For the first time, the organizers of the exhibition conducted an online broadcast of the Business Program. The broadcast was conducted on the exhibition sites www.interfabric.ru, www.souzlegprom.ru, as well as on the accounts of the exhibition on the social networks VK and Facebook. During the online broadcast on the sites, a record number of visitors was registered, and the number of views, including all resources, was more than 20 thousand users. Thus, it can be argued that the specialized International Exhibition of Fabrics and Textile Materials ‘INTERFABRIC’ is a real reflection of the state of the domestic textile and light industry market, as well as one of the main platforms for expanding business communications between producers, suppliers and consumers.        The next VI International exhibition of fabrics and textile materials ‘INTERFABRIC-2019. Spring’ will be held within the framework of the ‘Russian Textile Week -2019’  on March 19-22, 2019, Moscow, Expocentre Fairgrounds.
