The specialists of the company
"Uzor" from the village of Vyritsa, Leningrad region, were able to revive the traditional technique of manufacturing jacquard fabrics. The company receives yarn from suppliers and, thanks to its own technologies, paints it in absolutely any color. The factory has modern twisting equipment, as well as jacquard and remizny machines. The "Uzor" factory belongs to the enterprises of folk art crafts. The company has opened a museum of textiles and everyday life, which is included in many tourist routes to the sights of the Gatchina district.
The factory produces jacquard, chenille furniture fabrics, for car and train covers, for office and garden furniture, technical and aramid fabrics, decorative textiles. The head of the Moscow representative office of the factory,
Yuri Sokolov, told about the assortment and features of the fabrics produced:
– The main assortment of the factory is jacquard and tapestry fabrics, fabrics for table decor. However, in addition to this, the factory produces a huge number of technical fabrics, special purpose fabrics that are used in defense departments and other structures. The factory produces flame retardant impregnation – both washed and non-washed. The factory also works with non-combustible fibers. Tapestry miniatures and black-and-white portraits are a huge success.
According to Yuri, JSC "Uzor" is the only company in Russia that produces fabrics for the manufacture of roller and lamella blinds (remizny and jacquard of various colors and patterns) with a width of 210 cm. Also in the assortment of the enterprise are technical fabrics (filter fabrics made of 100% polyester, woven with a sleeve and a cloth, made of aramid fibers of the Rip-Stop type). Fabrics of non–standard width are also produced - from 140 to 210 cm .
– Our clients are manufacturers of home textiles; there is also a very large segment – retail fabric stores, – explains Yuri Sokolov. – And our big competitive advantage is the width of two meters. We have a wide fabric. The factory employs two artists who create fabric designs. We take into account the trends of interior solutions, coloristics, and are inspired by the examples of other manufacturers.
Yuri Sokolov also spoke about what caused the greatest interest among the visitors of the stand:
– This time at the exhibition "INTERFABRIC 2023. Autumn" there was a very great interest in piece products: napkins, table decor, pillows, tablecloths. We produce fabric, but we also have a sewing workshop where we sew finished products from our own fabric. And it turned out to be very popular, we collected a lot of orders and contacts of those who were interested in finished products. We will develop!
