Artificial fur is becoming one of the most sought-after trends of the past season. Around the world, new and experimental ways of using this material are emerging. Moreover, the ability to experiment with color opens up limitless possibilities. Bold shades of bright, saturated colors—purple, red, green, and fuchsia—undoubtedly add vibrancy to a spring look.
This diversity was showcased at the booth of D&S Fashion, a major supplier of fabrics from China and beyond to the Russian market. The company positions itself as a key link between a designer’s outerwear concept and actual production. Thanks to its representative offices in each manufacturing country, D&S Fashion is able to supply a wide range of high-quality fabrics to Russia and the CIS. Elena Novikova, Sales Director of D&S Fashion, provided more details:
– Our company has been engaged in wholesale fabric supply and production for over fifteen years. We place fabric production orders in China, where our partner factories are located, so our raw materials come from China. Meanwhile, our sales offices are based in Russia and Belarus. In addition to fabrics, we also supply accessories and yarn.
Our assortment is very diverse: we offer fabrics for outerwear, including coat fabrics, raincoat materials, faux leather, lining fabrics, as well as a range of suiting and blouse fabrics.
We are now introducing new outerwear lines, with artificial fur being our main focus. In today’s world, where environmental preservation is a priority, modern fashion has shifted its approach. Many fashion houses have abandoned the use of natural fur, making artificial fur more popular than ever. Thanks to advanced technologies, the pile of faux fur now closely resembles natural fur in both color and texture, making it difficult to distinguish between the two. Designers successfully replicate mink, sable, and llama fur. Additionally, the unlimited ability to experiment with color provides vast creative opportunities.
We are also working with another fashionable segment—eco-fabrics. At this exhibition, we are presenting textiles made from banana leaves, as well as fabrics derived from corn. The latter is an elastic knitted fabric with a distinctive checkered surface. Naturally, such fabrics are produced using chemical processing. The fabric is created with a piqué weave, which makes it strong, wrinkle-resistant, and capable of maintaining its shape well. This weaving method involves two systems of weft threads, resulting in a diamond-patterned front side and a smooth reverse. Another advantage of this fabric is its ease of care, softness, and flexibility. Plus, it has a distinctly exotic appearance.
We have previously participated in "INTERFABRIC" exhibitions. Thematic exhibitions provide an opportunity to explore new products—not only for clothing manufacturers and designers but also for fabric and accessories suppliers. It is an excellent platform for creativity and for developing unique collections that align with the latest trends.
