Manufacturers engaged in the production of clothing and footwear are constantly in need of various types of sewing accessories. Today’s market offers a wide range of products: from lace ribbons, lace trims, edging and decorative elastics with logos and QR codes to a variety of cords, which are an important detail in garments and are widely used in the sewing industry to decorate dresses, tops, skirts, shorts, and blouses.
A wide variety of innovations in this segment of the textile industry is released each season by “Moscvetlenta” – the largest producer of woven tape products in Russia. The company’s General Director, Marina Kobzeva, spoke about the specifics of their production and the new items presented at the spring “INTERFABRIC” exhibition:
– Our production is located in the Moscow region, as well as in the Tver and Kaluga regions. We operate a full production cycle, purchasing only raw materials from China and Turkey.
At the «INTERFABRIC» exhibition, we showcased our core product line – woven tape products – as well as collections of labels and tags. We also brought elastic tape for shoes, auxiliary elastic, and a full range of accessories for lingerie.
All of these are products of our own manufacturing: we have weaving and knitting machines that produce ribbons, elastics, twill tapes, and cords – some from colored threads, and others from raw threads, which we then dye in any desired color.
Cords hold a prominent place in our assortment – they are one of the most versatile accessories suitable for any wardrobe. For example, cords are used to create knots, ties, and bows; they can also serve to adjust clothing size, add a decorative element, or simply complement a look. Additionally, cords are used to embellish bras, panties, corsets, and other lingerie, adding more elegance and femininity.
We have also launched a new production line for which we purchased special machines – jacquard manufacturing, which allows us to produce elastics and ribbons with any logo and in any color, according to the customer’s wishes. This can include a pattern or, following today’s trends, QR codes.
Our products are in demand by manufacturers of a wide range of goods – from lingerie to parachutes. This includes the medical field, firefighters, and all types of workwear where straps and elastics are used, including reflective ones. For example, twill tapes have very broad applications – they are essential for electrical work, as their use enables the installation of electrical networks. This tape serves as a sealing and insulating material, it doesn’t wrinkle and holds its shape well. Naturally, our products are also used in sportswear, for instance, for hoodies. We have no limitations in terms of color range – we can dye in any shade.
We participate in exhibitions constantly – for as long as our company has existed. The return from the «INTERFABRIC» exhibition of fabrics and textile materials is always significant: our client base expands, and that is one of the main results of our participation.
