In recent years, the Russian clothing market has undergone noticeable changes, and this is reflected in consumer behavior. According to a study by the Tet-o-tvet online panel, satisfaction with the quality of clothing among Russians has grown by 10 percentage points over three years and has reached an impressive 78%. This indicates that quality is becoming an increasingly important criterion when choosing clothing.
Interestingly, for the majority of buyers (68%), quality is more important than price. Only 22% of respondents named price as their main priority. This confirms the trend towards conscious consumption and the desire to acquire truly high-quality items.
Also, there is an observed growth in loyalty towards new brands: more than half of consumers are ready to try unknown labels, which opens up good prospects for young manufacturers. At the same time, 49% of Russians prefer clothing from Russian brands, while only 20% choose foreign ones. This reflects the trend of supporting domestic production and local labels.
No less important factor when making a purchase remains practicality: 64% of buyers choose functional clothing, not just fashionable, which speaks of a striving for comfort and durability.
Thus, the Russian clothing market is becoming more mature and oriented towards quality, practicality, and support for domestic producers. This is excellent news for the entire light industry of Russia!
